Rusty, our Managing Director, spent 20 years as a professional guide and hunter, owning his own safari outfit and fishing resort on Zimbabwe’s iconic Lake Kariba. But in 2003, his life was turned upside-down. Framed for murder, Rusty was wrongly convicted of drowning a poacher.

He spent the next ten years of his life in Zimbabwe’s prisons, including the notorious Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison, where food shortages and no running water took the lives of inmates on a daily basis.

Rusty is now a unique premier speaker on the professional circuit, delivering a harrowing account of traumas few people could imagine and the lessons he learned about forgiveness, gratitude and finding true freedom.
